About Us

The Otterbein University Office of Events and Conferences offers a unique 10-week summer housing program for interns and researchers from Memorial Day through the first of August for qualified college students. Eligible individuals must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program and actively involved in summer research or academic internship program in the Columbus area. Eligible interns do not need to be an Otterbein student to enroll in Summer Intern Housing Program.

All Summer Internship Housing participants will reside in on-campus buildings designated specifically for the program. Westerville is a residential community of 36,000 residents on the northeast side of Columbus, Ohio, offering a small-town atmosphere with all the conveniences and opportunities of a big city. Otterbein’s 140-acre campus is accented by the historic Towers Hall, which was constructed in 1872 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Otterbein is a regionally-accredited liberal arts university.  Since its founding in 1847, Otterbein has been recognized for its pace-setting ideals, its ground-breaking integrative studies curriculum, its standing among the country’s first co-education institutions, and its commitment to serve the public good. Otterbein’s Office of Events and Conferences has the resources to help you achieve your goals and ensure a successful experience.

Participants in this program must be at least 18 years of age or older and must stay for at least a twenty-one-day period.
