As a campus resident living in our North City neighborhood of San Marcos, you'll find yourself nestled comfortably in a learning-focused and safe environment, just off the freeway and a short walk from the campus train station. Interns staying with CSUSM have 24/7 access to onsite staff and are conveniently located near restaurants, shops, local breweries, and more!
Interns staying at CSUSM are a part of the Summer Conferences program, which enriches the mission of California State University San Marcos by providing a supportive, education-oriented environment for campus guests, promoting exploration and learning in the areas of academics, community, and leadership. The primary goal of Summer Conferences is to provide a safe and engaging experience for clients and visitors in well-maintained facilities, showcasing CSUSM Housing and the North City neighborhood as a seamless model for community partnership and innovation.
Summer Intern Housing includes a private bedroom in an apartment with a full kitchen and living space, where you have the opportunity to live and network with other local interns. All utilities are included, apartments come fully-furnished (including TVs) and you'll enjoy numerous amenities onsite such as free laundry, swimming pool, fitness center, social lounges, and housing summer events.
Cost for individual interns in Summer 2024 was $70 per night, with rooms available beginning May 24th and ending by August 5th, 2024. Campus parking rates ranged from $9/day to $80/month per vehicle. Summer 2025 rates for housing are being reviewed currently and will be available beginning in January 2025.
